I get asked sometimes why I don't write slash. Even the tutor asked about it, and was decidedly shocked to hear that "no, I only write het." The only reason I could even give was that I had not been inspired. There just weren't any stories I needed to write.

This is one of my forever fics, that I've been wanting to write for years and years. I found it again on my had drive last week, and in the dissertation induced stress and panic I wrote this. Funny, how it takes me to be physically and psychologically exhausted before I can write. Maybe this explains why I was so productive during the last two years of my undergrad degree.

Okay, finally done. It's quite frigtening to look back at your own work and analyse it in any sort of coherent way. I like talking about myself and my work, but this was actually very illuminating, because I've never actually thought about the psycho motivation that drive me to write this wierd shit!

Okay, this is late. Like really late, and it's still not complete, but I can't help the fact that I just get these slupms in wiriting. Also the dissertation is eating into my writing and creative reserves. I wrote this today while sitting in Starbucks. I apologise for the rather rambling nature of it.

Here is my first reply to the Character meme. I wrote Carl for arubyslipper. You know, even when I tried to do this solely about Carl the other two just kept popping in. I think it's because Carl will inevitably end up playing second fiddle to those two. Hope you like it anyway, hon.

This was requested by kat_lair like ages ago. I'm going to do this in very short parts whenever I get the inspiration. So don't expect too much at one go.
Also because the story is huge, I've only done the commentary in the beggining of each section, instead of putting it inbetween paragraphs. Hope this is not too much of an inconvenience. Also I think I'm really not very eloquent in this......

If you've ever watched your favorite dvds, and then found yourself eager to hear exactly what the actors, directors, writers and even production designers thought about making the episode, the movie, or whatever - you'll know sometimes the best parts of dvds are hearing the commentaries. Getting into an actor's feelings about the character they play, getting the background behind a writer's plans and metaphors, even just getting the stupid anecdotal stuff that makes you laugh, it's all good.

I think it's time for me to set my sights on the next instalment of the Van Helsing saga. I have about 5k written for it and a rudementary plot construct, but that's it. I need to start making some serious progress with it. Otherwise it will never get written.
It's working title is Heart of the Ocean (yeah cheesy I know) but it seems to fit somehow. I've also planned the final part partly as well. It seems that I'm always think the one ahead that I'm writing. When I was writing the Circle all I could think about was the next part and now that I'm here my mind turns to the one after. I just cannot help it.
Also there is a giant Robin Hood plot bunny in the workd called The Name of the Rose (up yours Umberto Echo!) which I cannot start untill the VH thing is done.
Thew only pieces of writing I have done for a very long time have been the smut ficlets and the short stuff over at a_valerious. I just want some stability into this, but that really won't happen now that I have to start working on my MA dissertation, which is incedently also on fandom.
Sorry, there is no meaning in this entry. I just wanted to moan to you all in general.
